Designed by Stellar Works creative director Neri&Hu, the Inter collection consists of a console and coat hanger, each of which fuses form with function and embraces the enduring charm of honest materials.
With a thoughtful yet playful design, the Inter console and coat hanger have a sculptural quality that elevates them beyond their humble storage purposes by celebrating the inherent beauty in simplicity.
Grouped together or standing alone, the totem-like structures from Stellar Works incorporate an intentional duality of materials – oak wood and blackened metal – while the arrangement of vertical and horizontal planes – wooden planks and metal tubes – strengthens the appeal of each piece.
The shorter Inter console combines a flat top surface for small objects and display along with two tubular arms that serve as hooks for bags or other hanging articles. Meanwhile, the taller Inter coat hanger has a stately presence and features multiple metal arms as well as a wooden top ledge with a carved groove for hanging items. Each element is supported by a wooden oval base to balance the verticality.
Neri&Hu’s Inter console and coat hanger are made from solid oak in a warm natural finish that is complemented by stainless-steel oil-rubbed copper and matte-black powder-coated steel elements.
