The Lodge Pivot sconce from Workstead is the first completely adjustable lamp added to the brand’s popular Lodge collection. Expressing the same rich material language of turned natural oak, the new sconce can be adjusted both up-and-down and side-to-side to create and cast the perfect glow.
Referencing modernist Danish and mid-century American designs, the Lodge Pivot sconce is a playful and adaptable example of utilitarian wooden lighting.
Each element of the Lodge Pivot sconce is made from natural oak, including the slender dowel-like arm and stem as well as the the screw knob that locks the swinging arm in place.
The adjustable cup-shaped diffuser has a pleasing tactility that is experienced when moving it from side to side; the light itself can be static or integrated with a dimmer for more controlled illumination.
An ideal fixture to be used as a reading lamp or accent light, the Lodge Pivot sconce merges rustic charm with clean, contemporary lines. Complementing the natural grain of the oak are hardware details that can be finished in hewn brass, lost brass or blackened brass and either a black or beige cord.
The Lodge Pivot sconce joins Workstead’s larger collection of wood-based lighting fixtures that include multiple chandeliers that explore the contrast between wooden frameworks and metal structures, sleek pendants comprised of hand-turned wood dowels that suspended a single glowing bulb, linear wall sconces and flush-mounts and other variations.
