Italian lighting manufacturer Lodes recently introduced its first-ever outdoor lighting collection, a series comprised of high-performance luminaries that can seamlessly integrate with both residential and hospitality settings. 

Creating a fluid transition from indoors to outdoors, the new Outdoor lighting collection from Lodes offers both functional and decorative solutions for illuminating spaces on any level. 

The Outdoor lighting collection from Lodes was created in collaboration with French designer Patrick Norguet, who contributed three fixtures – Focus, Kinno and Chelsie – and its in-house design studio, which made the Reed light (Valencia-based Estudi{H}ac was also a collaborator and devised Stitch, a portable lantern with a distinct woven pattern made from a combination of metal and outdoor fabric; as was Snøhetta, who developed the globe-like Volum).

Each lamp in the collection was designed with core principles that celebrate the evocative power of good lighting in open spaces while combining strong aesthetics, technology and a charming decorative identity. 

For instance, the Focus light by Patrick Norguet was inspired by photography, which lent the multifunctional projector clean lines and details reminiscent of camera optics and lenses; Focus is available in floor, ceiling and wall versions. 

With Kinno, the humble yet versatile mushroom served as inspiration for its organic silhouette and gill-like detailing on the lens. Offered in bollard, floor, ceiling and wall versions, it blends effortlessly into natural landscapes. 

Also designed by Patrick Norguet is Chelsie, a sleek circular fixture that emits refined light effects and is available as a step light, floor washer and wall light. 

Designed by the Lodes in-house studio, Reed was inspired by its namesake slender grass and features either cylindrical or orb-shaped diffusers. Intended to be planted directly into the ground, Reed works both individually or arranged in rhythmic groupings. 

Each fixture in the Outdoor lighting collection from Lodes can be used on its own to address specific requirements but can also be combined in a variety of ways to create layered lighting experiences on patios and terraces, in gardens and pathways and more. 

Made from aluminum and glass, the Outdoor lighting collection from Lodes is offered in a rich palette that includes soft neutrals like deep green and warmer ones like brown.
