First designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel as a custom piece for the InterContinental Lyon Hotel Dieu and named for the historic building’s original architect, Soufflot is now available as part of Ligne Roset’s collection.
The collection embodies a contemporary depiction of the unique space for which it was originally designed, referencing the building’s architecturally significant dome and respectfully joining a dialogue between the monastic and the precious.
Soufflot’s rich, curvilinear form is made with high resilience foam in a variety of upholstery finishes, set atop a raised solid oak base finished in either a black stain or natural varnish. Its precise detailing is at once modern and timeless while remaining streamlined and sophisticated.
The armchair, sofa, and ottoman in this collection all share the same organic shapes and charming proportions. Soufflot is an evocative form rooted in French history.
