New York-based interior designer Stacy Garcia and TileBar recently collaborated on the new Valenova tile collection, a series inspired by the intricate artistry of origami. Featuring eight different designs – four sculpted and four simple and classic – the Valenova tile collection offers the opportunity to create striking installations that are at once elegant and compelling.

The four multidimensional sculpted versions in the Valenova tileVa collection from TileBar reflect light in a playful way, one that pays homage to the timeless art of paper folding, while the four with classic smooth surfaces allow for a more conventional installation.

Offered in a range of warm terracotta and matte white finishes, the individual pieces in the Valenova tile collection are made from ceramic in the brand’s factory in Spain, which is committed to sustainable practices that include a comprehensive recycling process for all waster and water.

The four three-dimensional tiles are called Deco and feature 12 face varieties that combine flat sections with multiple raised designs in both matte and satin finishes, resulting in multi-textured installations in kitchens and bathrooms. The four flat-surfaced Matte ceramic tiles have a graceful simplicity and can be installed on their own in a minimalist design or partnered with Deco tiles to create custom looks.

Both the Deco and Matte versions in the Valenova tile collection from TileBar are divided by colour: White Matte, a soothing warm-white glaze; Taupe Matte, an earthy and soft tone; Terracotta Matte, a rich and warm earthy hue full of character and depth; and Beige Matte, a calming, biscuit-cream beige that evokes sun-washed beaches.

Also included in the Valenova tile collection are coordinating ceramic bullnoses in Taupe, Terracotta and Sand that allow for seamless finishing. The Deco and Matte tiles are offered in 12.7-by-12.7-centimetre formats.
