Sometimes something arrives in your email box that brings an immediate smile to your face. Such is the case with Antonio Aricò’s latest series.

Hoping to spark some excitement in everyday rituals, the Italian designer wanted to connect the outdoor task of watering plants with the indoor ceremony of tea. After happening upon moulds of two traditional English kettles he and artisan Rizzardo Puzzo started working with the idea of mixing these ceramic vessels with the plastic water spout. The final result: an object d’art with some practical cachet.

Part of the Milanese design studio Deepdesign, Aricò’s latest quirky wares will be shown in Milan during design week as part of the Garage Design show in Zona Tortona.
