Kohler x Remedy Place Ice Bath

If the rise of cult-favourite spa Othership has proven anything, it’s that cold plunging is more than just a passing fad. The wellness practice remains popular as ever, but with a high price tag (individual drop-in classes run a cool $55), wellness buffs have been on the hunt for ways to get the experience at home. Granted, the moody ambience of Othership’s interiors, courtesy of Toronto firm Futurestudio, is a large part of the appeal. Luckily, this ice bath by Kohler, designed in collaboration with Dr. Jonathan Leary, founder and CEO of New York-based social wellness club Remedy Place, offers all the health benefits without skimping on design.

With its clean-lined design made from high-end materials, including an interior crafted from Avonite Flex, a hygienic solid surface, the Kohler x Remedy Place Ice Bath exudes luxury. High-performance laminate clads the exterior, mimicking the look of wood to foster a soothing, spa-like setting. Thanks to its durable materials, the tub is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and is available with an optional plumbing integration for filling and draining. The same attention to detail was paid to ergonomics, with a comfortable upright sitting position, cushioned headrest and integrated hand grooves that elevate the experience. The thoughtful design is paired with precision temperature control (ranging from 39 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit) and a state-of-the-art water-management system with UV-powered filtration.

Guided breathwork and meditation are core tenets of Othership’s cold plunge classes, and Kohler delivers on that front, too. An integrated timer and breath light enhance the benefits of cold therapy, while a built-in smartphone slot allows you to stream meditation and coaching sessions by Dr. Leary directly from the Kohler Konnect app. Now available for pre-order, the Kohler x Remedy Place Ice Bath makes for the perfect escape from the summer heat.

Bandeau Collection by Kallista

When it comes to the shower, it doesn’t get more regal than Bandeau, Kallista’s debut shower collection inspired by the opulent headdresses of ancient Egyptian deities. Offered in two designs — a rain showerhead and a wall-mount showerhead — the showerheads each feature a fluted “sash” hand-carved from a single piece of White Carrera or Nero Marquina marble (a smooth metal version is also available) that evokes the timeless elegance of Neoclassical architectural details like columns. The marble details contrast beautifully with the palette of metal finishes, which range from polished chrome to matte black to brushed bronze (the fixtures are made from quality solid brass).

The showerheads are available with an elliptical chandelier or halo mount, which gives the shower a floating appearance, and optional extension mounts that allow the fixture to be suspended at two heights. Bandeau’s artful materiality and meticulous craftsmanship is complemented by innovative design features like an air-induction showerhead that infuses the water stream with air to create larger water droplets and a pivoting spray face. In other words, it’s luxury embodied.

Teca Mirror by Antonio Lupi

With Teca, Antonio Lupi’s in-house design team has transformed the bathroom mirror into a work of art. Named for the Italian word for display case, Teca features a deep, tinted glass frame that lends the mirror a dual function as a shelf for small personal items and accessories — from perfume bottles to high-design skincare (we’re looking at you, Aesop). The glass frame, offered in Bronze and Fumé colourways, accentuates the mirror’s architectural quality, emphasizing its pure form and crisp, clean lines; its transparency highlights the intersection of its rectilinear planes.

The mirror doesn’t just make sure your products get the spotlight they deserve, it also ensures you are always showcased in the best light. The frame is integrated with LEDs that cast a warm, ethereal glow, setting the mood while also enhancing the mirror’s transparency and the floating effect against the wall. Getting ready has never looked this good.

Zenit Bathroom System by Noorth

A clear space equals a clear mind. In the bathroom, the sanctuary of the home, ample storage for your everyday items is the ultimate luxury. The modular Zenit bathroom system by Noorth helps keep clutter at bay, with options to suit spaces of all sizes — including floor-standing, wall-mounted, monoblock and under-sink configurations.

Designed by Michele Marcon, the collection embraces a pared-back design language, characterized by 45-degree angle cuts that create a continuous line between the fronts and sides of the units. A sleek groove handle can be positioned at the top or centre, emphasizing the collection’s minimalist lines by eliminating the need for hardware. The units are highly customizable — available with one or two drawers, swing doors or open storage, and in 22 finishes that range from lacquer to metallic — and can be paired with a variety of sink options including wall-mounted, vessel and countertop. A series of coordinating mirrors rounds out the collection.

MiniQ Collection by Colombo Design America

When it comes to bringing a sense of luxury to the bathroom, the little things add up. Building on the success of its Mini Bath Accessories Collection, Colombo Design’s MiniQ series is a case in point. The 18-piece collection includes a mix of free-standing and surface-mounted fixtures for various scenarios, from soap pumps to towel hooks and everything in between. But beyond functionality, each piece imparts a refined sensibility to even the most mundane daily routines.

The pieces’ clean, sharp lines are accentuated by a contemporary palette of premium finishes that allow them to suit any interior style. While matte finishes like black and graphite make for an understated and modern look, polished finishes like chrome, stainless steel and satin gold impart luxurious sophistication. Made in Italy and backed by a 30-year warranty, the durable, minimalist designs are intended to withstand the test of time.
