Our annual AZ awards issue, on newsstands now, celebrates the 2016 AZ Awards. Selected from a phenomenal 826 international entries, the 18 winners were announced during our gala celebration on Friday, June 17, at Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works. With this issue, we showcase the outstanding architecture, design and interior projects, products and concepts from all the winners, including the 48 finalists and People’s Choice.

We also sit down with the 2016 AZ Awards gala guest of honour Gaetano Pesce to reflect on what young designers need to know, and we touch base with three past award winners to see what they’ve been up to recently.
