This competition enriches diversity of thought and practice in the interior design industry by supporting students representing diverse voices and perspectives. The 2022 essay topic asks minority students to challenge the design industry and education system to make some actual change. In a brief essay of up to 500 words, what actionable steps would you like to see the profession take to make universities and design firms more equitable places, and what changes would have the biggest impact on minority students looking to enter the field?

Eligibility

This scholarship award is open to graduate and undergraduate minority students who are currently enrolled in an interior design or architecture programs worldwide.

Prize

Six total scholarships will be awarded: one $5,000 scholarship, one $3,000 scholarships, and four $500 scholarships.
