Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

This competition invites you to create and share your vision, question, demand, or concern about sustainable design and climate change in architectural education. In a short video or poster, share your ideas and concepts, read the competition requirements and submit your work. Sharing your work can make you eligible for cash prizes awarded by a international jury.

Submission Requirements

The following two formats are accepted:

1) Poster: Mix of graphics and text in a design that is both visually-striking and thought-provoking. Be original and remember all images, quotes and sources that are not your own, must be correctly cited, use APA style. Format: PDF, max. size 11” x 17” horizontal or vertical (max. 15 MB)

2) Short video: Moving images, interviews, animation, or any combination of techniques. Be sure to have embedded credits and a title, and note that the video content must be suitable for any audience.
Format: MOV or MP4 (max. 400 MB; max. 90 seconds).

To enter, first complete a student survey if you are a Canadian student, and then email your submission to [email protected].

Submissions are accepted from students of architecture anywhere in the world. You can submit in a group or individually. One person needs to be the main contact, and it is up to them to distribute the prize if applicable. One submission per person; even if you submit as a group, you can only participate once.
