As It Is is an upcoming exhibition based on a book by architectural and documentary photographer Steven Evans and featuring black-and-white photographs from his documentary project about Ontario Place. All the photos were produced between November 2021 and February 2024 and have not previously been published.

The photographs of As It Is explore nearly the entire Ontario Place site, including Eberhard Zeidler’s iconic architecture, the innovative landscape design by Michael Hough, the abandoned and decaying Wilderness Adventure Ride, the East Island and the success story that is Trillium Park and the William G. Davis Trail.

In addition, the evening will also feature a panel discussion with the Rt. Hon. Adrienne Clarkson, author John Ralston Saul, and landscape architect Walter Kehm. The panelists will attempt to answer three questions about the future of Ontario Place posed by moderator John Lorinc.
