A speaker stands at a podium addressing an audience in a conference room at The Buildings Show, with two large screens showing architectural site plans.

From December 2 to 4, 2026, The Buildings Show returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, bringing together architects, designers, engineers, developers and construction professionals to examine pressing challenges in housing development, sustainable construction and emerging building technologies. Across two exhibition halls, visitors can discover new building materials, products and technologies, with dedicated showcases spanning construction, renovation, property management and building operations.

The 2026 conference program features more than 120 educational sessions led by over 250 industry experts. Highlights include discussions on accelerating housing delivery through innovative construction methods, strategies for deep energy retrofits and reducing embodied carbon, and the growing role of AI and digital tools in building design and construction. A new Modular + Advanced Building Technology Zone will spotlight innovations in off-site construction and energy-efficient design.

Beyond the exhibitions and educational programming, networking receptions and facilitated sessions offer opportunities to connect with industry leaders and peers.
