Formgivning – the Danish word for design – means to give form to that which has not yet been given form. In other words: To give form to the future. It’s a task more important than ever, as humans are the greatest force shaping the planet today.

This exhibition invites visitors to join the world-renowned Danish architects BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) on an architectural journey across time from the Big Bang to the Singularity to sense how the world around us has been shaped, from the past to the present and beyond. Among the highlights is an exhibition of BIG architectural models – including its colourful LEGO headquarters – and a look at how advanced modes of building, with robots, AI, and 3D-printing, which could one day enable humans to live on Mars.
