Ceramics designer Caroline Cole presents her exhibition Order through Pattern at Oxo Tower Wharf in London. The exhibition showcases seven handcrafted collections, exploring the relationship between shape, colour, texture and surface. The handcrafted ceramics, which include bowls and vases, are decorated with an algorithmic pattern often informed by mathematical progressions.

This assembling of handcrafted objects explores the unpremeditated interactions between these primal elements when combined with mathematical and scientific pattern work, to achieve a harmonious sense of order. Fluid perspectives, twists and turns create a meditative state that soothes the senses, encouraging the viewer to go beyond pattern.
