The week-long opening event replete with exhibitions, discussions, and engaging activities focuses on the design scene in the MENA region and its role in global trends. By convening leading voices in design and presenting cutting-edge Design technologies and award-winning creations, we aspire to attract a global audience to the work of local and regional designers.
Exhibitions:
- Arab Design Now: a survey of local and regional design talent across disciplines, from architectural and material innovations to contemporary crafts, furniture, fashion, graphic, and object design.
- Weaving Poems: Discover the remarkable talent of Afghani textile designer Maryam Omar, who has been commissioned to create a mesmerizing series of abstract carpets inspired by the rich oral tradition of women’s poetry.
- Colors of the City: Unveil Doha’s architectural evolution at Colors of the City: A Century of Architecture in Doha, a dual-themed exhibition presenting global influences in the capital of Qatar.
- 100/100 Hundred Best Arabic Posters – Round 4: Celebrating Arabic Graphic Design brilliance, 100/100 Best Arabic Posters showcases posters from 23 countries at the American University in Cairo. An initiative inspiring connections among talents, it’s now debuting in Qatar.

- Design Doha Forum: The Design Doha forum’s goal is to inspire attendees to envision cities as living canvases where design serves as a vehicle for communication, personal and community empowerment, economic growth, and meaningful cultural exchange.
- Designers Breakfast Club: This four-day coaching series will center on enhancing the creative process and fostering the personal and professional growth of interior, furniture, and accessories designers.
- Design Doha Exchange Qatar | Morocco: Crafting Design Futures: The Design Doha Exchange explores connectivity and intersections of contemporary craft practices and innovative design through an exchange among makers of Morocco and Qatar.
