Andreas Murkudis presents a dialogue between the colourful worlds of Muller Van Severen x Willem Cole at Store 77 in Berlin. The exhibition will be showing chairs, lamps, tables, shelves and rugs by the Belgian design duo in conjunction with the concrete abstract drawings by contemporary artist Willem Cole, who will also show new mosaic rods for the first time.
Next to their mutual love for colour and research, Muller Van Severen and Willem Cole are also constantly flirting with the boundary between art and design. While Severen’s designs appear to be created almost intuitively and with total effortlessness, the art of Cole, based on three basic colours with more or less white space in between, demonstrates how a manifold of varieties can emerge out of utterly limited set of basic differences.
