Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

OVERVIEW

Sweden’s Konstfack University has taught many of the country’s prominent, scene-defining talents, including Eero Koivisto, Monica Förster and the members of the design studio Front. While its Bachelor program is only conducted in Swedish, its Master’s degrees are offered in English. In both programs, students can specialize, by pursuing craft, design ecologies and individual study; and they take part in the Greenhouse exhibition at the Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair. In recent years, students have displayed such idiosyncratic pieces as a stool made of salt and a fireplace made of CNC-carved wood.

Notable Alumni: Stefan Magnusson (No Picnic), Monica Förster, Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren (Front), Pierre Sindre, Yen-Wen Tseng

Notable Faculty: Martín Ávila, Maria Lantz
