The Bachelor of Interior Design (BID) on-campus and online programs at Yorkville University prepare students to create sustainable spaces for numerous clients, including hospitality, healthcare, retail, residential, and commercial settings. A year-round learning option helps accelerate program duration and all courses are offered four times a year, so learners don’t have to wait to start their studies.
STRENGTHS
Yorkville University’s leading Interior Design programs cover everything from design theory to drafting, digital rendering, space planning, building systems, codes, and regulations, and also include an NCIDQ exam prep course. With high emphasis on imparting technical skills, the program includes dedicated courses in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
Offering hands-on, professional design experience, the program’s portfolio thesis includes 20 hours of volunteer community service and 180 hours of supervised internship, which opens networking, collaboration, and mentorship opportunities at some of the biggest design firms in the country.
