Leading materials manufacturer 3form proudly presents their 2023 Colour Collection: a palette of soft, muted hues that come alive with natural light.
Drawing inspiration from the four seasons and the emotions they evoke, this palette explores the subtle side of 3form’s expansive colour system with 10 new pastel tones.
From Comet, a light blue reminiscent of a crisp winter day, to Lavish, a pastel purple capturing the airiness of spring, the 2023 Colour Collection brings joy, tranquility, and calm to any commercial environment.
Applied on 3form’s award-winning translucent materials, the new collection also lets the outside in through colour and light.
“We see colour as a main ingredient in creating welcoming gathering spaces,” says Ryan Smith, 3form’s Chief Creative Officer.
“Colour is at the core of what we do, and this collection allowed us to be more introspective about the meaning of colour in our lives. It was exciting to imagine a warm autumn day, identify how it made us feel, and translate that to the palette.”
At the beginning of the palette curation process, 3form laid out dozens of existing swatches to identify where they could grow their colour system.
The design team saw an opportunity to showcase soft, subtle versions of their saturated tones and demonstrate that even the subtlest hues can evoke strong emotion.
The completed palette features 10 new colourways, Lavish, Graceland, Alta, Smolder, Honeycomb, Rhubarb, Talc, Cedarwood, Adobe, and Comet. These additions will join 3form’s colour system in perpetuity.
“This palette sets the design tone for 2023, but its timeless, classic hues are relevant beyond the calendar year,” says Smith.
“Our products are extremely durable and designed to last a long time. We take that into deep consideration when creating any palette.”
Available on 3form’s Varia, Chroma, and Glass platforms, the materials artfully play with light and translucency, bringing the soft hues to life.
As seasons change and daylight evolves, the colours take on different personalities, like the orangey warmth of sunrise or the brightness of the mid-afternoon sun.
Specifiable as partitions, wall accents, reception desk wraps, ceiling features, and more, the 2023 Colour Collection brings colour and light to shared spaces including hospitals, wellness centres, hotels, schools, offices, and more.
3form’s Varia, Chroma, and Glass platforms have certifications in Optimized EPD (SCS) and Greenguard Gold (UL), and Varia and Chroma have additional certifications in Type III EPD (SCS) and Red List Free Declare Label (ILFI).
This aggressive pursuit of certifications and higher product standards is one example of the company’s comprehensive sustainability program, Align, in action.
