Designed in collaboration with global architecture, design and planning firm Gensler, the sleek Adhesion linear drain from Infinity Drain is a unique addition to the manufacturer’s line of architectural and decorative drains.

Called on as the product design consultant for the Adhesion linear drain, the Gensler design team took inspiration from the science of water adhesion – an examination of how water molecules stick to themselves and other surfaces.  

To translate this effect to the Adhesion linear drain, the Gensler team began by pouring water onto a variety of luxurious surfaces and observing how the droplets moved and gathered together. 

From this exploration, a modern pattern emerged that was adapted for the Adhesion linear drain. With an “even distribution of irregularity,” the resultant motif is at once exact and random. 

Featuring both separated and connected dots, the pattern was refined to ensure it did not present a monolithic tiling effect. 

The Adhesion linear drain is available in a number of installation series, making it a suitable addition for a variety of bathroom sizes and styles: The Site Sizeable Series allows for seamless wall-to-wall applications; both the Fixed Length (FX) Series and the Fixed Flange (FF) Series include pre-pitched channels with set lengths; and the Flange with Schluter Kerdi (FCS) Series has pitched channels with Schulter-Kerdi fabric in set lengths. 

Adding to its versatility and adaptability, the Adhesion linear drain from Infinity Drain is offered in 10 finishes: Satin Stainless, Polished Stainless, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Satin Bronze, Matte Black, Matte White, Gunmetal, Satin Champagne, Polished Gold and Polished Brass.
