Designed in partnership with Barcelona-based urban furniture manufacturer Escofet, the Air collection is a series of outdoor seating that injects both a sense of playfulness and sturdy functionality to public settings.
Made entirely from lightweight recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the family is comprised of five forms that, while distinct, can work together to create dynamic landscapes. Sustainable and non-porous, HDPE is low-maintenance and UV stabilized to resist colour fading.
With a rounded triangular shape, the low-profile and backless Extasi Air (by Arriola & Fiol) bench encourages casual and spontaneous conversation.
Fortunato Air (by Diego Fortunato) features rounded cube, rectangle and back modules that can be arranged together to form ergonomic and hardwearing seating setups similar to an indoor sectional sofa.
Featuring a biomorphic, asymmetrical design, Starfish Air (by Emilio Tuñón; shown at top) can be scattered in singles or attached at its ends in multiples, with each option suitable for both individuals and groups.
Embracing modularity, fluidity, connection and interactivity, Twig Air (by Alexander Lotersztain) is a branching system bench offered with or without a back
Compact and versatile, Stul Air (by Escofet lab) can be used as a stool, side table or other complement to the larger members of the family.
All pieces in Air are offered in a wide variety of vibrant colourways with optional LED strips available for some white versions and can be freestanding or anchored in place using a fixed and invisible or exposed and detachable stainless steel trim system.
