With his design for the Amour armchair for Bonaldo, French designer Fabrice Berrux conceived a sculptural seat with super-generous proportions and which places form, material and function front and centre. 

The Amour armchair from Bonaldo is defined by its continuous, soft and pleasantly flowing lines, resulting in a seat that is at once enveloping and open — and one that evokes a simple gesture that indicates everyone is welcome to sit. 

Opening like a protective shell, the backrest is paired with a slightly elongated seat that supports easy and effortless relaxation. Deliberately avoiding sharp or hard angles, Berrux ensured that every single curve is considerately calibrated to a degree that creates a harmonious balancing of refined elegance and ergonomic well-being. 

The soft and inviting upper portion of the Amour armchair from Bonaldo sits on a cylindrical swivel base to create a compelling architectural contrast. Made from fluted metal, the compact base helps ground the armchair in any space and reinforces its presences without compromising its visual lightness. 

Strikingly refined, the Amour armchair blurs the line between functional furniture and contemporary sculpture, one that engages with its surroundings in an open and ongoing dialogue. 

A wide range of fabrics and leathers is available for the upholstered volume, and the fluted swivel base is offered in four painted-metal finishes — Matte White, Matte Black, Matte Dove Grey and Supreme Anthracite — as well as five Plus Metal finishes — Matte Lead, Matte Bronze, Matte Pearl Gold, Matte Brass and Matte Copper — plus five special metals — Clouded Chrome, Bright Nickel, Brown Nickel, Champagne Nickel and Dark Nickel.
