The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

Aphaia Collection Kreoo

Designed by Stockholm-based Claesson Koivisto Rune, the Aphaia collection from Kreoo was created from two strong reference points — the grandeur of classical architecture and the organic forms found in nature.

The Aphaia collection from Kreoo includes coffee tables in various sizes, a dining table and a bar table; each piece is carved by hand from a solid block of marble and reflect the sophisticated and continuous grooves found on Greek and Roman columns.

Subtle undulations on the surface of the column-like structures create a compelling relief pattern, with the marble’s natural veining and chromatic layering enhanced and emphasized through a play of light and shadow.

Radiated from the base, the sculpted ribs rise to the underside of the top portion, forming a circumference defined by broader ripples that relay a three-dimensional decorative element. Similar to the top of a mushroom, the pieces in the Aphaia collection express a striking tactile experience.

Each table in the Aphaia collection from Kreoo introduces a unique personality to its surroundings. The three sizes of coffee tables effortlessly complement diverse seating systems and can be used individually or grouped together in dynamic clusters; the sculptural dining table commands attention whether in an open living area, retail space or hospitality setting; and the plinth-like bar table serves as a pedestal for vases, sculptures or other objects.

The Aphaia collection from Kreoo is available in five types of marble, including the clean and crisp Bianco Carrara; the warm, red-toned Rosso San Marco; the softly veined Breccia di Sicilia; the dramatically coloured Breccia de Vendome; and the striated Travertino Rosso.
