When devising the Arcade pendant for Brokis, Prague-based designer Boris Klimek took inspiration from two seemingly disparate sources — simple and exposed electrical cables and the grandeur of classic chandeliers. 

Beautifully merging these two influences into a single lighting concept, the Arcade pendant from Brokis is both graceful and playful and able to fill an interior with captivating illumination. 

The exposed electrical cables are represented through the graceful arcs of synthetic silk cords that support a series of softly illuminated cylindrical glass tubes. 

Seeming to float, the tubes create a dynamic light installation that introduces rhythm, movement and subtle exuberance. As a contemporary interpretation of classic chandeliers, the Arcade pendant from Brokis can be installed as a singular lighting element or in larger multi-element applications. The light’s flexible suspension system makes it highly adaptable and suitable for use in both private residences and public spaces like hotel lobbies, restaurants and other hospitality settings. 

Along with the Arcade pendant, which emits light upwards, a second variation — Arcade+ — is also available. With this version, a spotlight is incorporated at the bottom of the glass tubes to further expand the functional possibilities of the pendant. 

The Arcade pendant from Brokis also reflects the brand’s adherence to exceptional craftsmanship, use of innovative materials and distinctive designs. Made from transparent, triple-layer glass, the illuminated tubes can be finished in five colours — Transparent, Smoke Grey, Smoke Brown, Opaline and Amber. 

For the metal portions of the Arcade pendant — the elements that hold the tubes upright and the canopy — three powder-coated colour options are available: White Glossy, Black Glossy and Brushed Champagne (lacquer). There is also the opportunity to finish the body and canopy in Atypical RAL colours. The synthetic silk ropes are offered in Beige, White or Black.
