A first-time collaboration between Australian designer Rhys Cooper and Muuto, the Arced mirror references the arched windows of Sydney’s architecture that Cooper observes on his daily walks to work. 

Free of any fussy details, the refined Arced reimagines classic Scandinavian wood-framed mirrors by pushing the reflective surface subtly into the frame. By streamlining the proportions, Cooper has also eliminated waste material from the production line. 

Arced is offered in two sizes – a small and a full – both of which can be installed vertically or horizontally. A barely-there ledge at the base provides the opportunity for displaying a photo, trinket or piece of jewellery. 

The frames are finished with an oil-based wood stain that highlights the natural grain and characteristics of the FSC-certified Spruce wood. Three expressive stain colours are offered – Light Grey, Light Green and Lilac.
