For the new Artistic Elements carpet tile collection, J+J Flooring looked to the foundational building blocks of art for inspiration – line, shape, colour, value, texture and form.
The two complementary patterns within the Artistic Elements carpet tile collection – Balance and Rhythm – combine simple and basic notes with more complex and subtle nuances that recall paintbrush strokes, resulting in a sophisticated offering for installations in a range of commercial and contract settings.
With the Balance carpet tiles, symmetry is key. A hand-sketched plaid is duplicated and mirrored across the surface, with slight tonal and light variations adding dimension. Rhythm, meanwhile, expresses the harmony of artistic elements with subdued striae that bring visual interest and consistency.
Both patterns within the Artistic Elements carpet tile collection are available in 60.9-by-60.9-centimetre formats and are made using tufting technology that enhances the visual depth of the yarn. Balance and Rhythm can be used separately or together to create zones and wayfinding in retail, workplace, commercial rental and real estate properties and more.
Comprised of J+J Flooring’s Encore SD Ultima nylon fibre, the carpet tiles have maximum motif retention, exceptional colour performance and sustainability; the Artistic Elements collection comes standard with Nexus Modular backing. Both Balance and Rhythm are available in eight colourways that include broad neutrals, cool and warm tones, blues, greens and a teal – Moonstone, Toasted Almond, Cinder Smoke, Sandlewood, Marine, Baltic, Inkwell and Nightfall.
