The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

Aston Club Low Back Chair by Arper

French architect and designer Jean-Marie Massaud recently expanded on his Aston seating collection for Arper with a new low-back version of the original club chair. While maintaining the sophisticated minimalism of the original seat, the updated option offers generous and ergonomic comfort in a variety of settings.

Aston Club Low Back Chair by Arper

The modern lounge chair encourages conversation when arranged in small groupings while also offering a semi-private cocoon for moments of solo contemplation and more private meetings. Inner components are made from post-industrial recycled plastic (without using glue) and the individual elements can be disassembled and reupholstered to extend the overall lifespan. Its four-star aluminum base can be polished or painted black and a wide range of upholstery fabrics and colourways is available. Intended for use in corporate lounges, its timeless style is also well-suited for residential spaces.
