Living at the intersections of formal and informal, the new Bao pouffe collection designed by Alda Ly Architecture (ALA) for HBF was devised with maximum user comfort in mind.
The fist furniture collaboration between the New York-based architecture firm and HBF, Bao’s sculptural silhouette signals both simplicity and sophisticated construction.
Taking its name from the Chinese homonym for bun, bag, precious and baby, the perch is an exemplary execution of quality craftsmanship and clean-lined aesthetics. The petite seats bring a flexible seating solution to such busy public spaces as offices, healthcare settings and hospitality venues.
Lightweight and moveable, Bao has been rendered in six base archetypes – small, medium, large half-round, stacking, low loop handle and high loop handle – and two seat heights (lounge and work). Whether used individually or mixed and matched in groups, the pouffes create a warm and welcoming lounge experience.
The Bao pouffe collection is offered in a wide range of hospitality-inspired HBF Textiles, which include many bleach-cleanable woven fabrics, performance coated fabrics and luxe full-grain leathers; multiple stains, lacquers and veneers are available for the wood portions.
