Oslo designer Andreas Engesvik recently added two new elements to his Barba series – a sofa and a lounge chair – that share the same sculpturally rounded design cues he initially established with the original club chair and sofa. Developed for Swedish brand Fogia, the new additions are rooted in Scandinavian design aesthetics.
With more generous proportions and ultimate softness, the new Barba Lounge chair and sofa are low-slung and invitingly wide and deep. The upholstered pieces share a pleasing visual flow when approached from every angle, adding warmth and elegance to any interior.
The Barba Lounge chair and sofa are handmade to order at Fogia’s factories to ensure a high quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Set on a handsome solid beech base, the upholstered volumes are stuffed with wadding and foam comprised in part with recyclable polyurethane.
Two upholstery choices are available – Carnival (a white background speckled with confetti-like detailing in a rainbow of colours) and Vidar (a sophisticated solid blue); customization is also an option.
