New porcelain dinnerware and glassware have been added to Georg Jensen’s Bernadotte collection, resulting in the opportunity to build a fully cohesive table setting. Decidedly art deco, the collection is influenced by the work of Sweden’s Prince Sigvard Bernadotte, an industrial designer in his own right who contributed a number of pieces to the Danish brand, most notably the iconic silver pitcher in 1938.
A careful balance of classical shapes and geometric details, the functional objects feature Bernadotte’s signature deep groves and manage to walk the line between Scandinavian luxury and a casual everyday aesthetic. The new additions include dinner and salad plates, bowls in two sizes, a thermal mug and a serving platter, all of which complement the existing sterling silver and stainless steel serveware and utensils.
