The new Bio Silica Hybrid collection from Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering offers a sustainable alternative to traditional coated textiles and expands on the brand’s innovative Silica Hybrid collection of high-performing textiles and wallcoverings.
Incorporating the properties of both silicone and bio-based polyurethane, the Bio Silica Hybrid collection from Momentum is composed of 76 per cent bio-sourced polyurethane derived from corn-based feedstock with a 24 per cent silica top layer. The result of this seamless merging is an inherently anti-microbial, antifungal and stain-resistant coated upholstery textile.
Durable and bleach-cleanable, the PVC-free construction of the Bio Silica Hybrid collection has an ultra-soft and supple hand and striking aesthetic appeal. Furthering its sustainable characteristics is the backing material that is made from 100 per cent post-consumer recycled polyester sourced from recycled water bottles. Three patterns are included in the collection: Kepler Print, Farra and Flitter Print.
Defined by an illusionistic geometric pattern that pairs blocks of solid colours with more nuanced shaded ones, Kepler Print has a strong presence and sense of depth and movement. Available in nine colourways: Aquamarine, Cornflower, Fiesta, Indigo, Meadow, Pebble, Riviera, Spritz and Willow.
Effectively mimicking a woven design, Farra is a multicolour upholstery textile that lends an inviting and sophisticated warmth to interiors. Available in ten colourways: Adriatic, Denim, Flaxen, Habanero, Harbor, Lagoon, Mulberry, Peridot, Quartz and Tundra.
A nature-inspired pattern that hits the right biophilic notes, Flitter Print has an organic and irregular motif resembling a sun-dappled forest floor. Available in eight colourways: Cove, Driftwood, Dusk, Fog, Rainforest, Shadow, Skylight and Spruce.
Suitable for application in high-traffic settings like educational institutions, healthcare environments and workspaces, each of the three fabrics in the Bio Silica Hybrid collection from Momentum are PFAS-free, flame retardant-free and Greenguard Gold certified.
