When designing the Brea collection of lounge seating for outdoor furniture brand Dedon, Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby paid particular attention to the details. The duo combined sophisticated lines with a unique connecting system comprised of universal locks that seamlessly secure the tubular steel frames and back- and armrests in place.

Wrapped in waterproof upholstery fabric (that is easily removed), the voluminous cushions have the look of indoor seating but offer high durability for outdoor use. Belts of tension webbing on the frames support seating while maintaining a sleekly modern yet elegant profile.

The series can be configured to create lounge chairs, double daybeds, two-, three- and four-seater sofas and more, plus it includes two sizes of powder-coated metal coffee tables with mineral-composite surfaces. Modules are made from powder-coated metal in three finishes – white, black pepper and palm green – and can be paired with a wide range of Dedon outdoor fabrics.
