The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

Made from a combination of recycled and recyclable materials, this freestanding and reconfigurable system allows for the creation of partitions, walls and cubicles.

An effective acoustic solution, the series is comprised of felt plates (12mm PET polyester fibre) in three shapes – brick, T and X – that can be paired with expanded polypropylene (EPP) pins and formed into open, semi-closed and fully closed walls that offer visual privacy without blocking out visual contact entirely.

The plates are available in 20 colourways, ranging from neutral black, grey and white to more vibrant options like turquoise, purple and bright yellow. Six shades are offered for the pins, and up to three can be combined in any proportion.
