Antwerp-based acoustic solution and furniture-maker BuzziSpace recently reinterpreted one of its classic designs in an elegant and elevated manner. The BuzziShade Square Beam light expands on the original BuzziShade pendant, offering a new format that brings both illumination and acoustic control to buzzy office and commercial spaces. 

As with the predecessor, the new version combines lighting with a sound-absorbing panel that helps muffle echoes and contributes to a quieter work environment. Made from 100 per cent recycled PET felt, the shade has a warm and mottled appearance and a soft touch; the shade can be equipped with the brand’s Globe or Spot lighting systems. 

Offered in a rainbow of colourways, the felt shade is supported by a metal frame and features the signature lacing detail that can be optioned in black or white. 

Designed by Stal Collectief studio, the large-scale pendant can be used to delineate zones in open-plan offices, lobbies and other bustling public spaces where a little sound control is needed.
