Valencia-based Danish designer Morten Georgsen created the Cancún collection of outdoor dining and lounge furniture for BoConcept to make the most of outdoor living. The capsule series includes dining and lounge furniture that offer a cozy spot to commune with nature.
The minimalist yet timeless pieces in the Cancún collection combine clean lines and organic forms that introduce a modern elegance to a range of outdoor settings, from patios and terraces to balconies, decks and gardens.
Wanting to ensure the outdoor furniture in the Cancún collection would remain comfortable for long hours, Georgsen eschewed any “edgy” corners, instead rounding all the lines to make them smooth and inviting.
The Cancún dining chair (with or without armrests) is stackable up to six for easy storage, and its lightweight aluminum construction means it’s easy to move about. The open-back design of the chairs has strong graphic impact, an element that is repeated on the lounge chair and sofa. Two sizes of dining table complement the chairs; made from steel, the tables are substantial and durable and have adjustable feet to accommodate for uneven grounds.
For the lounge chair version has a lower profile and is also designed to be stackable up to eight, with the aluminum material making it possible for the entire stack to be moved by one person. The Cancún sofa, meanwhile, has an extra-deep seat that promotes long-time lounging.
The aluminum structures are available in two powder-coated colourways – Ash Gray and Matte Green – and optional seat and back cushion pads for the dining chairs and lounge chair are upholstered in a soft bouclé. The upholstery is offered in the same Ash Gray and Matte Green for coordinated looks, as well as two contrasting options: Matte Orange or Matte Blue.
Sophisticated, versatile and resilient, the Cancún collection by Morten Georgsen is suitable for use in private yards as well as in bars, restaurants and hotels and can withstand sun, rain, frost and snow.
