Hamburg-based designer Justus Kolberg devised the Cerro chair for Davis Furniture as a lightly scaled and refined swivel chair to suit modern workspaces.
Defined by a sculptural silhouette, the Cerro chair from Davis Furniture features a continuous die-cast aluminum frame and a seamless integration of structure and upholstery.
Creating a fluid and flexible relationship between softness and precision, the Cerro chair utilizes moulded foam construction to offer a plush yet ergonomic and supportive seat.
With an intuitive swivel/tilt mechanism built within the slender frame, the Cerro chair moves with the user: The weight-activated control automatically tunes into and adjusts for individual body weights and provides reliably balanced resistance when leaning backwards.
The Cerro chair also has a discreet single-lever to control multiple operations — height adjustments can be made by pulling or lifting the lever upwards while shifting weight on the seat to move it up or down; the lever can also be moved or slid to unlock the chair’s free-reclining mechanism or to lock the backrest in the desired upright position.
Lending a sophisticated architectural presence to individual desks, meeting and conference rooms and private offices, the Cerro chair from Davis Furniture is set on a custom-engineered, five-star die-cast aluminum base (in black or black and chrome) and can be tailored to perfectly suit its environment.
The die-cast aluminum frame can be finished in six Neutral Powder Coats (Matte White, Light Grey, Mid Grey, Steel, Matte Black and Warm Grey), six Pearl Powder Coats (Matte Silver, Light Anthracite, Anthracite, Champagne, Light Bronze and Bronze), 11 Fenix Matched Powder Coats (Grigio Efeso, Grigio Antrim, Grigio Bromo, Beige Arizona, Grigio Londra, Blu Fes, Verde Comodoro, Blu Shaba, Verde Kitami, Cacao Orinoco and Rosso Jaipur) and 14 Color Trends Powder Coats (Stone, Light Tan, Sand, Ice, Fog, Teal, Mustard, Light Sage, Moss, Dark Green, Rosa, Terracotta, Burgundy and Ivory).
The robust range of powder coat finishes can be paired with a number of upholstery fabrics and leathers (including COM/COL) for the seat, arms and back.
