Clam pendant light by Fritz Hansen

For Fritz Hansen‘s Clam pendant light, Danish design studio Ahm & Lund looked to natural seashells for inspiration, reimagining the namesake bivalve as a pair of opal glass orbs that can both show and conceal its pearl-like bulb.

At once timeless and contemporary, the pendant boasts an elegant silhouette rendered through quality craftsmanship and a heightened attention to detail – the mouth-blown milky glass elements are intersected by a slender brushed-brass pole and internal canopy that elevate and accentuate both the overall form and the warm ambient glow it emits.

A small brass hand-turned knob on the lower portion of the vertical stem allows for the bottom volume to be separated from the top to completely reveal the internal diffuser, or closed at varying degrees to adjust the mood, illumination and styling.

The Clam pendant is available in two different sizes.
