Sinuous, sculptural and saturated, the Colour Rack designed by Muller Van Severen for Hay is a graceful and still functional alternative to more traditional clothes storage.
Muller Van Severen – the Belgian design studio founded by artists Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severn – is known for its deft use of colour and unconventional and sculpturally interesting furniture designs and its Colour Rack for Hay is a perfect showcase of the studio’s innate sense of colour and mastery of proportion.
Though the Colour Rack has a simple form, its multipurpose nature makes it a standout in any setting – the free-standing open design serves as a clothes rack as well as a room divider.
The clothes racks are offered in S and C shapes, which can standalone or be linked together to form extended lengths using a special conjoined hook design.
Made from powder-coated steel and arriving flat-packed, the Colour Rack by Muller Van Severen for Hay is available in eight high-gloss hues – for the S-shaped racks, colour options are Jungle Green, Dijon, Eggshell and Black; for the C-shaped racks, colour options are Steel Blue, Standard Grey, Maroon Red and Black.
Manufactured to stand the test of time, the Colour Racks are 100 per cent recyclable and the pieces can be fully and easily separated.
