Danish designer Børge Mogensen orginially created the Contour chair in 1949 for the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Furniture Exhibition, as an experimentation in form-pressed veneer.

Recently re-launched by Carl Hansen, the chair is defined by its sculptural profile – slightly angled legs, curved and gently back-sloping seat and form-pressed veneer back with two distinct cutouts.

Made from oak or walnut or a combination of the two, Contour is available in a variety of finishes and with an optional fabric- or leather-upholstered seat.
