A collaboration between Ethimo and French designer Christophe Pillet, the nautically-inspired and complementary Costiera and Baia collections of furniture brings the Italian outdoor furniture manufacturer’s style and substance to yachts, large boats and other nautical settings for the first time.
While the two lines have their own characteristics and personalities, they share a common well-tailored sensibility that allows them to be mixed and matched together in unique ways and for a range of spaces in different sizes. Versatile and modular, each collection is comprised of lounge, sundeck and table elements, totalling more than 20 pieces between the two.
Set on a square structured powder-coated aluminum base, the voluminous seats and cushions of Costiera are constructed with technical padding, while Baia’s soft cushions are supported by an aluminum and wood base (in accoya, mahogany or iroko) detailed with fabric-upholstered panels.
A number of high-performance upholstery fabrics are offered and include wide and thin stripes and linen-like solids; the internal padding is treated with a water-repellent coating that protects it from damage, all cushions and armrests have loose removable covers for easing cleaning and the eco-friendly leathers are durable for outdoor use. Travertine-topped coffee tables in different sizes are included in both collections. Ethimo’s Costiera and Baia collections will be available in 2023.
