The idea for the Cross stool came to Italian designer Mario Ferrarini while spending time in a bustling airport. Recognizing the need for a comfortable seat while taking a break in the fast-paced environment, Ferrarini also surmised that the perch could be elegant rather than institutional.
Manufactured by Italian furniture-maker Lapalma, the Cross stool is defined by its slender and fluid profile while its cantilevered tubular metal frame provides a sturdy foundation.
The polyurethane saddle-like seat culminates in a graceful upraised lip, a built-in foot rest supports different sitting postures and anti-tipping metal glides at the front of the base maintain an overall balance.
Suitable for use indoors and outdoors in both public and private settings, the durable Cross stool is offered in two heights and six colourways: black, pearl, light blue, brick red, olive green and dove grey. All materials used in the production of the Cross stool are recyclable at end of life.
