Taking inspiration from the natural world, French design Patrick Norguet harmoniously combined two organic materials in a handsome balance of form and function for the Cross table for Italian outdoor furniture-maker Ethimo.

The base of the Cross coffee table is sculpted from FSC-certified teak in the shape that gives it its name; smooth with rounded edges, the volume is pleasingly smooth to the touch and accentuated with rich natural grains that offer an animated patterning. 

Black cork comprises the generous surface, which balances lightly on the plinth. With natural tactility and depth, the material lends a softness to the overall piece. To enhance its texture and durability, the cork is treated with a unique 100 per cent eco-friendly coating and an optional glass top can be added.

Available in three different sizes, Ethimo’s Cross table makes an ideal complement to outdoor settings. A protective rain cover is also available.
