The Culinary collection from Bentley draws a parallel between the crafting of a fine meal and that of a serene, idyllic space – with both scenarios providing a comfortable, joyous and healthy experience through the use of simple yet sophisticated ingredients. Featuring three styles of carpet tiles – On the Block, From Scratch and Serve It Up – the Culinary collection is at once energizing and calm and introduces an intentional element to contract and commercial interiors.
Evoking the randomly patterned nicks and grooves of a well-used butcher block, On the Block is defined by a deep textural surface. Horizontal, vertical and diagonal scratch marks bring a subtle sense of movement to any interior.
Bold, large scale and multi-directional, the From Scratch pattern tempers darker tones with lighter ones.
The most-simple of three by comparison, Serve It Up has a reserved pattern that is at once accessible, elegant and simple.
All three patterns in Bentley’s Culinary collection are available in the same 12 food-inspired colourways for easy coordination: Pinch of Salt, Stir Fry, Al Dente, Fold In, Slice and Dice, Deglaze, Whisk, Cracked Pepper, Julienne, Caramelize, Zest and Flambe. Two sizes are also available for each – tile and plank – and all can be installed in a variety of arrangements, depending on the format. For the planks, the recommended methods are ashlar, brick, herringbone and monolithic, while the suggested methods for tiles are brick, monolithic, quarter turn and random. The four backing options available for each are AFIRMA II Hardback, AFFIXX Hardback, LuxFelt Cushion and NexStep Cushion.
