Dress Code represents the first-ever chair by Italian studio Gumdesign, the multidisciplinary firm known for its approach that blurs the lines between design, graphics and architecture. Inspired by haute couture fashion, the generously proportioned seat is noticeable for its strong colours, tactile qualities and structural integrity.

The architectural framework, made from coated metal, can be outfitted with a variety of tailored textile linings that are secured in place using two zippers, which allow for easy costume changes.

Suitable for use outdoors as well as indoors, the Dress Code chair also features substantial dowel-leg armrests that contribute to its intriguing profile.

Multiple fabric versions are available for the seat, including smooth and “sheet-like,” square quilted and wave-shaped options as well as padded. A range of colourways is offered for both the metal and the textile portions.
