A recent innovation from Creative Matters, EcoAx is an environmentally responsible woven Axminster made from wool with a biodegradable jute backing that decomposes within 12 months, enriching the soil as it does so.

An alternative to synthetics like nylon, the new material will be an option available for all of the brand’s commercial and residential rugs and carpets, with a no-glue installation method to keep the flooring fully biodegradable.

At end of life, the carpets can be recycled, upcycled and even shredded for compost.
