The latest collection from Humanscale to enhance the brand’s “Ergonomics Everywhere” initiative, this new series includes cohesive furniture solutions created to ensure often-neglected third spaces are comfortable, efficient and productive.
Comprised of the Sedeo stool, Trea Lite task chair and Float Family of sit-stand desks, the new pieces in Humanscale’s Ergonomics Everywhere series beautifully enrich such areas like huddle rooms, cafes or books in open offices. While each element is designed to function on its own, they all also complement one another and can be used together across workspaces and other scenarios to support a wide range of activities and work styles.
A contribution by renowned American industrial designer Don Chadwick, the Sedeo stool balances form and function impeccably. Available in bar and counter heights, the stools have ergonomically contoured seat shells that offer essential sacral support to encourage proper posture. The Sedeo stool is offered in a variety of finish options, including polished aluminum, maple, black and solid oak frames and white or black seat shells.
The Float Family of sit-stand tables is comprised of two members – Float Gather and Float Mini – that serve as anchor points for busy, high-traffic workspaces (a third addition, Float Micro is set to launch in the new future).
A height-adjustable round table, Float Gather is intended to promote collaboration away from main workstations. It’s inviting format is also ideal for after-work social events like cocktail parties.
Float Mini, meanwhile, combines a classic residential style with Humanscale’s specialized ergonomics to offer a compact sit-stand solution for smaller spaces, like a home office. When it launches, Float Micro will provide even smaller proportions and double as an end table.
The last piece in the new collection from Humanscale is the Trea Lite task chair, which has been engineered with a mechanism that offers a seamless 12-degree recline that supports natural shifts in posture. A contoured shell comfortable holds the body’s curves, provides effective lower-back support and mimics intuitive hip rotations.
