The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

Ever After Solid Surface from Durasein

Premium solid surface manufacturer Durasein has added a new option to its Dreamy collection. Called Ever After, the durable material sets swirls of soft grey against a crisp white ground.

Clean and modern-looking, Ever After (and all Durasein’s surfaces) is a composite made from two-thirds alumina trihydrate – which is derived from the natural ore, bauxite – and one-third acrylic resins and pigments.

The resultant tough-as-stone material can be customized and shaped using standard woodworking tools, allowing for unharnessed innovation and creativity. Easy to clean, the composite is resistant to impact, scratching, heat and fire as well as mould and mildew and can be repaired, recycled and reused. Further, the surfaces are food-safe, non-toxic, non-porous, low VOC and anti-bacterial.

Ever After Solid Surface from Durasein

Described by Durasein as a “land of sugared mountains and swirling mist,” Ever After is fresh and inspiring and suitable for a wide range of applications – from commercial, healthcare hospitality and education to workspace, retail and residential. Standard stocked sheets are available as is custom sizing.
