When devising the Grid radiator for Tubes, Milan-based designer Elisa Ossino took inspiration from tool boards found in workshops and laboratories and the elementary geometry of the circle.
With the Grid radiator, the perforated panel is transformed into a visual and functional element that combines tidiness, aesthetic modularity and minimal rigour. Described as a “thin plate of geometric elegance,” the Grid radiator from Tubes not only provides warmth and comfort to bathrooms, living rooms and other interior spaces, it also offers a dynamic surface that can easily and handily accommodate everyday accessories and objects.
The sleek panel can be outfitted with shelves, hooks and ledges; the functional elements read as graphic signs that create a dialogue within the space, lending a new and captivating identity to the bathroom. Intended to reinvent and complement daily rituals, the Grid radiator from Tubes showcases how minimalism and functionality can coexist when thoughtfully considered.
A pattern of cut-out circles with soft, calibrated profiles are featured across the surface; more than mere openings, the simple design elements instill a pleasing rhythm while doubling as attachment points for accessories. The individual circles are defined by a gradual perimeter radius that creates a softened and controlled indentation. This was achieved through the development of specific equipment able to execute complex manufacturing processes.
Made from recycled and recyclable aluminum, the Grid radiator operates on electric power (in 220/240 V versions or an extra-low voltage 24 V version) and is safe for use in wet rooms including walk-in showers.
The Grid radiator from Tubes is offered 140 RAL colours as well as 15 special galvanic finishes that include satin, brushed, glossy and matte. The optional accessories include circular aluminum hooks (in two sizes), linear hooks, stainless steel shelves, brass towel rails and a mirror. Two sizes are available and the radiator can be installed vertically or horizontally.
