Providing a substantial level of illumination while occupying little visual space, the Heracleum III Linear light by Dutch designer Bertjan Pot is the latest in his ongoing series for Moooi, bringing the total number of fixtures to four.

Inspired by the flowering plant that lends its name to the fixture, the pendant is comprised of slender structural branches off of which a number of white leaves, containing 72 LED components, sprout.

With the newest inception, Moooi and Pot improved on the light’s technical attributes, developing a new driver — that allows for controlled dimming — and better overall illumination output levels. This advancement will also be carried over to the existing versions.

The dimming range can be quickly and easily managed via smart-home systems as well as with the brand’s Wireless Wall Switch, which harvests electricity to charge the lamp when it’s in use.

Heracleum III Linear is available in three finishes — Copper, Nickel and White — and is ideal for installation over expansive surfaces such as dining room tables and kitchen islands.
