The new In the Making collection from Tarkett brings the opportunity for unhindered creative expression with three styles that explore subtle movement, softened geometries and textural depth.
Devised with the idea that “expression lives in the space between impulse and intention,” the In the Making collection reflects the refinement and consideration that goes into the creative process.
The three complementary patterns that comprise the collection are Traced, Preparation and Gestural, with each bringing a restrained and nuanced sense of rhythm, balance and visual interest.
Inspired by the marks and imprints left behind in the creative process, Traced is a layered, cross-directional linear textural grid with subdued movement. The pattern introduces a purposeful sense of rhythm to interiors.
Featuring an abstract, deconstructed linear pattern, Preparation instills a fluid sense of movement and layered texture underfoot. With a hand-painted-like style, it creates a contemporary foundation that intentionally evokes the concept of process and progression and contributes a quiet narrative of creativity to the built interior.
The third pattern, Gestural, translates the energy of freeform mark-making into a series of scattered rectangles and rhombus-like shapes to create an open and less-structured composition. Energetic and art-driven, it references the spontaneity of the overall creative process.
All three styles in the In the Making collection from Tarkett are offered in the same 12 colourways: Impulse, Craft, Consider, Evolve, Emerge, Transform, Shaped, Instinct, Process, Nuance, Composed and Refined.
The collection is made from Dynex SD (a premium cationic nylon that resists most staining agents) and is available in three backing constructions: Powerbond hybrid carpet, ethos carpet tile with Omincoat Technology and Flex-Aire cushion carpet tile. The series is available in 60.9-by-60.9-centimetre carpet tiles and 1.8-metre rolls.
